Mauro Napodano is a consultant with 20 years of professional experience. Mauro is an expert on budget planning and fiscal policies, aid coordination, public investment analysis and investment promotion and evaluations of aid programmes.

As a consultant he participated in the EC Country Strategy Evaluations for Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan and was member of the Tacis Monitoring Team in Kiev responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus. Mauro has also participated in public expenditure reviews and public investment planning exercises in many countries.

Mauro has also provided capacity development on aid coordination, in designing and implementing monitoring mechanisms to report the implementation progress of government's economic and social strategy and interrelations with the Medium Term Expenditure Programme.

He has worked on project planning and investment promotion in Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Sierra Leone, India, China, Venezuela, Bolivia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tunisia.

Previously, Mauro was a financial analyst for IMI, a leading Italian investment bank, where he acquired expertise in the appraisal and evaluation of large infrastructure investment projects, including project financing schemes.

Mauro holds an MA in Business and Economics from University of Rome and has attended a specialisation course on African development policies from the Italian Institute for African Studies.
