Harry Huizinga - Harry Huizinga is a Professor of International Economics at Tilburg University, The Netherlands. Previously, he has been an Economic Adviser at the DG for Economic and Financial Affairs, European Commission, 2002-2003 and Assistant Professor of Economics at Stanford University, U.S.A. He has been a member of the Group of Economic Analysis of the European Commission's President
Professor Huizinga has been a regular consultant to the World Bank and the OECD Fiscal Affairs Division and a Visiting Scholar at the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund.
Harry has published widely in macro-economics of open economies, financial and taxation issues and political economy. Professor Huizinga recently published a book on Positive Political Economy by Cambridge University Press. He is also an Associate Editor of the Journal of Public Economics and member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Macroeconomics, Journal of Public Economics and the European Journal of Political Economy
Harry holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and a B.A. from Princeton.
