Maurizio Carbone is a lecturer in Politics at University of Glascow. Maurizio has worked in the European Commission (DG Development) and has taught in Carnegie Mellon and Pittsburg University. He has carried out extensive research on the external relations of the European Union, foreign aid, the politics of international development and the role of civil society in the development process. He has published widely and has co-edited a bokk on civil society and gender in EU development policy

Maurizio holds a Ph.D. in International Development from the University of Pittsburgh.
